I haven’t come across a post about it yet, but with this new tumblr update, you can no longer upload your gifs in a new text post to copy the html! When you go to paste the html onto your gif page, it will only show the gifs temporarily, and when you check back later, they seem to vanish!

However, I was able to find a way around it by simply publishing that text post with your new gifs. You can make the post private, then go into edit, switch over to markdown then html, and copy from there! After you’re finished, you can delete the (private) text post and your gifs will remain on the gif page you posted them to!

Using THIS site to upload your gifs (in case you want to add them to a gif page) also works brilliantly, I use it for all my gif packs, because I can upload the gifs and it’ll give me back the HTML for all the gifs at once, so I don’t have to manually copy paste URLs into my pages.
